Hello, March! Time flies, yea? How has 2013 been treating you, so far? Hope you guys are doing well. I have not done a restaurant review in a LONG time, probably ages ago..
Now I want to share with you my favourite place to have french toast!
I stumbled upon Little Collins Bakery & Florist with my friend, Emma on one fine evening, where we headed out to Solaris Mont Kiara to have tea. Other cafes looked packed, so we decided to try this lovely bakery. The moment I stepped in, the aroma of cakes and fresh-out-of-the-oven bread made me more curious to try their food!
Little Collins is very cozy and has a relaxing atmosphere. From where I was sitting, I could see the bakers worked their magic!
Little Collins is not just a bakery, it is also a florist. They provide flower arrangement services for weddings, events, etc. Nice, right! Perhaps Little Collins will be in your wedding checklist? They custom-made wedding cakes too!
Not only bread and cakes are on the menu, this wonderful bakery serves western food as well such as pasta, cheddar chicken, etc! In the photo above, on the right side is their selection of bread, and on the left side, is the florist section. You can see bouquets displayed in the glass room.
Since it was tea time, I wanted to have something light yet filling. I ordered Banana French Toast which was SUPER YUMMY!! You may think that Im exaggerating because it's just a french toast, but really, this was probably THE BEST french toast I've ever tasted!
The toast is thick with egg, filled with many slices of banana. Cinnamon was lightly sprinkled on top, perfected with maple syrup. I.was.in.heaven! They were generous with their bananas, as you can see! :)
Look at their wide array of selection of sugar treats! hehe. Cakes, muffins, creampuffs, cupcakes, cake pops, and many more! I couldn't leave this place without trying their cake..so Emma bought us a Red Velvet Cupcake!
This Red Velvet Cupcake is super moist, and the texture is beyond words. I don't know how to explain it to you guys, but this cupcake was PERFECT. I've tasted other red velvet cupcakes in other places, and most of them are dry inside. But this...this was just perfect!
Okay here's a random shot of me with their mini roses as the table's centerpiece. hehe.
Check out their website to see beautiful custom-made cakes for special occasions! Click HERE! Be prepared to drool!! :)
Parking may be a hassle if you want to park along the street, because it's always full! So I suggest you park below Cold Storage, located at the opposite of the road, you will see it. It's RM1 for the first hour.
